For the first time since the 20th of January 1990, Rx Class Steam Locomotive No. 224 returns to official SteamRanger Cockle Train Service! Rx224 was always a staple on the Cockle Train since it began in 1986, it was the usual locomotive for this train until it was taken out of service due to a mechanical failure. Rx224 officially returned to service to the public on the 23rd of May this year, and now for the first time in 31 years it will once again be hauling the Cockle Train. Rx207 is having a short break while Rx224 gets back to work and our 620 Class No. 621 “Duke of Edinburgh” will be hauling the Southern Encounter, Highlander & Xmas In July Services. That covers the steam fix for July, for more information explore our website Running Program and Our Trains to find more information on these services and bookings.
