HOT WEATHER POLICY 

In the event a total fire ban is issued for the Mt Lofty Ranges, trains scheduled to operate using steam locomotives will be substituted by diesel railcars or diesel locomotives.

Likewise, in the event the forecast for Victor Harbor is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius or above, Cockle Train's will not operate.

REFUNDS

Other than Cockle Trains if for any reason you are unable to travel as per your booking arrangements we will be happy to transfer you to another scheduled departure at no additional cost other than if the booking is upgraded to a more expensive service.

In the event that you are unable to travel at an alternate time an application for refund must be be made in writing to: Treasurer SteamRanger PO Box 960 Mt Barker South Australia 5251 with details of the original booking date and name of passenger along with details of date and time of advice of cancellation of travel and attach unused ticket/s.

Refunds will only be given for trains where pre-booking is a requirement. A handling fee of $5.00 per passenger will be applied less any sales commission. This policy applies at any time a cancellation is made.

REFUNDS 'Cockle Trains'

Refunds on the Cockle Train are not permitted except where the SteamRanger has been unable to provide an advertised service. This does not include the right of refund where the motive power has been substituted no matter what the reason.
